October was another month of warm weather, but I refused to let that stop me from dressing for Fall (ish)! Here are some of my recent looks that have made their appearance on my IG
Do you like my J. Crew sweater and Earth shoes? You can read my reviews of them here and here

Happy November!

An Evening Out

Jeans: J. Brand
Blouse: Macy's
Beach living is usually associated with comfy, casual style - and I'll be honest, I own too many sandals to count. But occasionally, I will get dressed up to go out for the evening with my husband. This is one of my favorite, easiest fall looks for a night on the town - it's dressy, a bit edgy and still comfortable. It can be taken from warmer, early evening weather to the cooler, later hours of the night with the simple addition of a gorgeous jacket (like this one!).

Earth Brands: The Perfect Teacher Shoes

Sweater: Anthropologie
Tank: J. Crew
Necklace: Bali

Whether it be chasing little ones around on yard duty or acting out scenes from Shakespeare, you are pretty much always on your feet as a teacher.

Thus, I have fallen into a deep (expensive) obsession with Earth Brands shoes - one my husband wishes I didn't have! I first bought a pair of Earth Brands flats over the summer because the soles literally felt like pillows were hugging my feet. They were amazing! And if you follow me on Instragram, you know I wear them constantly.

As the story goes ... I had to buy more. So when I saw this adorable pair of boots online, I snapped them up! They are more than I could have hoped for.

*An incredible added bonus about Earth Brands? For every pair of shoes you buy, they plant a tree!! A tree! The hippie in me now has full justification for purchasing many more ...

Oh, and isn't this Anthropologie sweater just to die for?

A True Teacher Outfit

Sweater: Anthropologie
Dress & Chambray: Old Navy
Shoes: Earth Brand

For whatever reason, wearing this outfit made me feel like the quintessential teacher. All I was missing today were my 'specs! Oh, and Charlie felt like being in the photos today, too!

The inspiration for this outfit originally came from this picture I found on Pinterest. I simply changed it up a bit because I just love this sweater from Anthropologie - I wear it all the time! :)

Isn't Charlie just the cutest?!

J. Crew's Crepe Blouse

I think we need to have a little conversation about this J. Crew Crepe Blouse (on sale!). Every minute detail of it is beautiful. I think I must immediately go buy it in more colors ... sorry, Hubby! This is a definite must-have for every woman's (and teacher's) closet. It is comfortable, cute, and easy to style. I can't wait to wear it multiple ways once the heat lets up!

This Banana Republic skirt is a perfect example of why I have a tough time cleaning out my closet. I bought this 5 years ago and finally wore it today for the first time. I've got issues ... I'm fully aware.

Dressing For Warm Fall Days

How does one dress for fall when it's between 80-95+ degrees? Well, first I spend a lot of time complaining to myself about the fact that it's sunny ALL THE TIME in Southern California (which isn't really a bad thing I guess!). Then, I figure out a way to incorporate fall colors into a wardrobe that still keeps me (relatively) cool.

How much do you just love this scarf? Talk about the perfect October accessory! And the J. Crew silk top (similar) is the perfect one to keep me cool. I just love how the back of the tank dips lower than the front (sometimes that can look awful, but J. Crew did an exemplary job with this piece). The shoes are from da Costanzo of Capri in Italy - they belonged to my mom, and since she never wore them, I was finally able to convince her to let me get my hands on these beauties.

Those of you in other parts of the world, enjoy October for me! :)

Fall Teacher Outfit Inspiration

Fall is in the air, which means semi-cooler temps in Southern California (and also some scorching hot days). For whatever reason, I decided to name my outfits ... maybe it's because when teaching can be tough, naming outfits can make you smile? Not sure if that's logical, but hey, whatever works! :)
