Hi! I'm Cate and welcome to The Styled Teacher!

I'm a teacher who loves to dress up for work - nothing is more fun than putting together an outfit the night before and feeling like a million bucks when I head to school the next day. In my personal experience, when I dress well I think I teach better. There's just something about wearing a pencil skirt and heels that gives me that little boost of confidence!

I've been teaching since 2008 and have taught all levels of Middle School and High School English. I recently moved into 5th Grade, which has been interesting in many positive ways.

The Styled Teacher is a place for you to find inspiration to update or reuse items in your wardrobe! My goal is to share not only great deals and new trends, but also REAL outfits that won't break the bank. I re-wear a lot of my wardrobe and try to invest in quality, timeless pieces that can be worn for years. (Rarely will you find me wearing $500+ shoes ... actually, make that NEVER will you find me wearing shoes that expensive!)

I want you to feel comfortable and excited about dressing well each day and hope The Styled Teacher provides that inspiration for you. I do share my looks more often on my Instagram, so feel free to come join me there as well.

As of January 1, 2018, I have decided to donate at least 50% of my earnings each month to a local school in need. This stems from a desire to go back to what my blog, originally called Teach Inspire Change, was all about - helping the education world. Although these might be small donations, they are donations nonetheless and make me feel like I am able to help the education community in some small way! That means whenever you purchase something through my links, at least 50% of the commission I earn from your purchase will be donated. I will also be donating at least 50% from collaborations and paid sponsorships with other brands. At the end of each month, I will let you know how much and where I will be donating to!

I also started a really fun Facebook Group called The Styled Teachers where we all share our outfit ideas, good deals, and more. Please feel free to request access here.

Don't hesitate to email me with any questions you might have (teachinspirechange at gmail dot com). I respond to and read every comment and email!

You love, kindness, and support is incredibly appreciated!
